About Drupal Drops

What this site is

Drupal Drops is a community site for people who build Drupal sites and the agencies that serve them. It publishes dated drops (tutorials, data findings and release notes), learning paths, plain-language security advisories, and, as they are built, a module catalog with a health score, a Drupal CMS recipe directory and a showcase of real sites.

Every tutorial names the Drupal version it was tested on and the date, and its steps are run on a real install before publishing.

Who runs it

Drupal Drops is owned by Andrew Olsen and built and maintained by The Kansas City Web Development Company. It is an independent site and is not run by the Drupal Association.

The theme

The site is built on a theme of its own, Drops, which is being prepared for release as a free theme on drupal.org. This site is the theme's demo, so what you see here is the theme in use. The theme carries no branding or commercial copy.

Where the data comes from

Security advisories come from the public drupal.org advisory feeds and link back to their drupal.org pages. Module and recipe listings use the drupal.org API and update feeds, cached politely, and each links to its drupal.org page. Advisories are shown as published; we do not add our own safe or unsafe verdicts.
